As we venture into another year ahead we can’t forget the path left behind us for it helps us forge the journey we will all take in 2022. Last year marked our first Community Safety Practitioner in Residence (CSPIR) initiative since we launched it in 2021, an idea our collaborative team had been planning for several years. It was a 6-month residency that we got to do right in our own backyard – Victoria, BC. We were able to utilize our signature full SPECTRUM approach to Community Safety and Well-Being.
Our client was none other than the Anglican Church of St John the Divine located in the heart of downtown Victoria. Collaborating with a church was a first for us! We typically provide our services and expertise for municipalities, police services, and a wide-range of other organizations. The leadership, staff and residents of the adjacent St John’s Court building were a tremendous group of people to work closely with.
Our previous post from Sept 2021 titled “A New Story Unfolding” helps fill in some of the blanks as does our first News Release that you’ll find in our Story Map. Yes, you’ll be able to find the latest News Release too. Story mapping will be how we provide our client reporting moving forward this year and beyond. See for yourself as we invite you to indulge in the next chapter of St John the Divine. Visit our Story Map titled A STORY UNFOLDS.
We hope you all enjoy the story, it reminds me of a quote by the author of “The Alchemist” – Paulo Coelho. He writes “If you never take a risk, you will never know what changes you need to make.”
The next chapter for St John the Divine will be an exciting one so stay tuned as we journey forward with them and help create a heightened sense of community safety and well-being.
Wishing everyone a safe and healthy 2022,

So delighted to have played a small role in the story board and I truly believe it is a very effective approach that shows community their capacities and power.
Wonderful blog to start the year Steve!
